PRIVACY POLICY
Last Modified and Effective Date: July 26, 2022We value and respect your privacy, and we’ve recapped how we collect, use, transfer, disclose, and/or store your personal information. Long story short, we don't do anything weird with your info: we collect your personal information when you make a purchase on our Online Bottle Shop for shipping purposes (powered by Shopify). If you opt-in for marketing communications, you will receive those from Shopify and it’s affiliated apps, in addition to any communications involving a transaction (receipt, draft order etc.). From time to time, we ask to collect personal information when signing up for our events held at our brewery, like trivia nights, workshops etc, (powered by Squarespace) and sometimes to participate in contests or share content on Social Media contests (powered by Instagram, Facebook etc.). You’ll be subject to the privacy policies of each platform where you share information, some of which we have no control over. Keep reading for more information.
1) ACCESS TO ALCOHOL PRODUCTS AND SITES RESTRICTED TO INDIVIDUALS OF LEGAL DRINKING AGE
Our Online Bottle Shop (alcohol product site) and our advertising is intended for people of legal drinking age only. If you’re on our Online Bottle Shop website, you’ll be ask to verify your age. Don’t lie about it… if you're underage and entered our site by making a false statement, you must immediately leave the site (don’t be a dork.)
2) WHEN DOES THIS PRIVACY POLICY APPLY?
This Privacy Policy describes our practices on how we collect personal information about individuals (people like you) interacting with us and our products and services, including our websites, social media pages and promotional sites that we can control, where applicable, or which link to this Privacy Policy. This policy does not apply to the scope of third party sites including social media sites (Instagram, Facebook etc.) or content management platforms we use (Squarespace, Shopify etc.).

We collect personal information relating to you in a variety of ways depending on how you interact with us. For example, we may collect personal information for registering for onsite events (like trivia, workshops etc.) or contests and promotions (like random prize giveaways); and at anytime we may ask to collect your name, address, email address, phone number, and/or date of birth.

At times, we may make certain personal information available to third parties, and will disclose personal information in the following situations as permitted by applicable law.
Marketing Partners: We may share personal information with vendors/providers that help us to evaluate and improve our marketing and promotional efforts, content, products and services, to better understand customer interests and preferences, to provide you relevant information, and to conduct joint marketing programs.
Service Vendors/Providers: We share personal information with service vendors/providers that help us with certain business activities, including but not limited to fulfilling and shipping your order, assisting us in website operations, administering promotions, providing customer service, and delivering email communications.

If you decide to enter a contest, sweepstakes, or promotion that is sponsored by a third party, the personal information that you provide will be shared with us and them. Public: Some of our sites permit you to engage with or post on our social media pages, and other similar platforms. Emails: We may use your email address to send marketing emails, newsletters, surveys, offers, and other promotional materials to you, as well as targeted offers from third parties – at all times in accordance with your preferences. You can stop receiving promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in emails you receive from us or by contacting us using the details below.

6) SECURITY AND STORAGE OF INFORMATION
Please be aware that, despite our reasonable efforts to protect your personal information, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. If you have reason to believe that your personal information is not secure, please contact us immediately in accordance with the contact information below. In the event that we are required by law to inform you of a breach to your personal information, we may notify you electronically, in writing, or by telephone, if permitted to do so by law. We will store your personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, as explained in this Privacy Policy. In some circumstances, we may store your personal information for longer periods of time, for instance, where we are required to do so in accordance with legal, regulatory, tax, or accounting requirements.
7) THIRD-PARTY APPLICATIONS/WEBSITES
Social Networks/Online Communities: On certain Sites, we may enable you to access online communities for sharing information such as messages, photos, and videos. We may also enable you to post content from some Sites to your profile on other social networks. We cannot control any policies or terms of such third-party social networks. For example, sharing such information with a social media site may require us to implement cookies and/or APIs in order to facilitate the communication between our Sites and the social media site. That information, shared through cookies and/or APIs, then becomes subject to that third party site’s privacy policy. As a result, we cannot be responsible for any use of your information or content by a third-party social network, which you use at your own risk.
Linked Sites: Our Sites may contain links to third-party websites or applications not controlled by Elora Brewing Company or covered by this Privacy Policy. If you submit information to any of those websites or applications, your information is governed by their privacy policies. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy of any website or application that you visit. We have no control or authority over third-party sites and are not responsible for any information that you may submit on that site.
